That pretty much sums it up as I'm seeing it.

Don't be ridiculous.

Biden asks no such questions and does not care. Even if he were not suffering senile dementia, he still would not care. He would care, only if and only to the extent that Palestinians had something he wanted or some way to hurt him personally or professionally.

And, unfortunately, there will be no pillar of votes foe Stein. Humans are herd animals to rival any lemming or sheep.

Hmmm. The Jill Stein pillar is nonetheless a pillar. Casting a vote for truth may not win the "game" but it will give witness to the righteousness of the choice and broadcast a call for the need for something more true and faithful to democracy.

Oh, I have every intent of voting for her.

FF, The last few frames of the cartoon say that Biden was only joking. There will be a pillar of votes for Dr. Jill Stein. Even if it's not enough to win this election cycle, this will strengthen the Green Party and other progressives, and might pave the way for a 3rd-party victory in the following presidential election cycle. I hope to see a reclamation of democracy, and I know I'm not alone!

I hope that you are right regarding Stein, but I live in the real world.

Liberals will pile on the rationalizations ("I 'held my nose' as I voted for genocide!") then they will pile on the excuses ("Mean republicans made Poor Widdle Kamala...."). The slaughter will continue, the empire will continue until it cannot.

Given our (mis)leadership's numbskull immature minded video-game foolishness with Kursk/Russia, not just the empire but more might soon end. The annulling of the populace in governmental-oligarchic-military decisions re Russia and China must be met with demonstrable citizenry outrage.

Your faith in citizens is touching.

FF: I totally understand your skepticism, but the common people have organized to drive regime change before. I just hope that it happens while we still have a chance to survive climate catastrophe.

Romanticist fantasies and Les Miz aside, revolutions do not happen when the populace seizes power from the elites.

As long as the elites remain internally united, they will retain power and ruthlessly squelch any attempt to take it from them. Not only do they have control over pressure points, they will do *whatever* *it* *takes* to retain power, otherwise they would not have gotten to where they are, nor would they keep their perches for long.

Rather, revolutions happen when the elites are divided amongst themselves, whether as a result of foreign threats or an inability to agree on how to divvy up the goodies. Elite factions then start casting about for allies.

Right on Joe! The Genocidal Bibi used the Genocidal Biblical Myth of Amalek when Moses went to pray for help and Joshua went into the "First" Genocidal War in the name of G=d . Bibi's Zionist Fascist Call for Genocide was in your face and Joes face since Oct 7! "Now Go and Smite AMALEK & Utterly Destroy All that they have & Spare Them Not: But slay Both Man & Woman, Infant and Suckling Baby, Ox and Sheep, Camel and Ass." What did the world expect? Orwell pointed out that the worlds surprise at the rise of Nazi Fascism and the resulting Holocaust shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone. MEIN KAMPH spelt it all out! Did the world think he was joking? Fascists don't joke every word is carefully planned for cause and effect! 100 years of Zionist Indoctrination has come home to roost. A Nation of Hate with an Impenetrable Bubble Of Protective Stupidity and Double Think! IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH! WAR IS PEACE! AAAHHHHGGGG!!!!

Let that pillar rise up strong!

Oh I hope Joe Sacco is right. A pillar of votes for Jill Stein large enough to sweep aside this murder machine. Of course it will require a huge number of citizen legislators and government functionaries to rise up and pitch in.

This cartoon presumes Joe Biden has morality, and his faculties. Ziggy is closer to reality...

Did you miss the panel with Joes smile and finger ready to flick a Palestinian off his hand and admit he was puling Bibi's Chain?

That shows his cowering to Bibi, not his true colors.

Thats not what I saw or took it for, we already know Biden is a Chicken Hawk shill from the Corporate Head Quarter State of Delaware! He was a Dixie Crat that believed in Southern Jim Crow Apartheid. His Law and Order soap box came right out of Nixon's Southern Strategy! Anyway the smile Joe gave to Biden treating a Palestinian human on his hand like an ant was good enough for me!

A National Citizens Party would be a terrific organization to have as a vehicle to claim our power and place it where it can change the direction of events. As Hedges has frequently commented....politicians get freaked out when the people are aroused.

Selina, such parties already exist, depending on one's political leanings. In addition the Green Party and Libertarian Party, there is the Working Family's Party. There are probably others as well, but the current political machinations of the Dems and Reps and their media suppress public knowledge of these parties.

I am fully aware of all the parties.

Hmm. Since I'd never heard of the "National Citizens Party" I assumed it was something you made up, and wondered why you didn't name some actual parties instead of theorizing. After looking this up again, I find there was a "Citizens Party" at some point, but it's since been disbanded. Perhaps you would share more of your thoughts on this? For instance, are you politically involved and working to establish a party along these lines?

Tech la….After despairing for so long over the controlling influence of the corporatized Democratic Establishment which steadfastly works to preserve the status quo and shuns citizenry’s involvement in what should be a participatory democratic process, I came up with a vision of a union all inclusive of simply citizens to take action just like effective worker unions do. Actions that bend toward meeting our needs and fidelity of actions inoculated against intrusion by monied interests and lobbying groups. For example. Citizens all over the country stop buying and stop working in demand for passage of single payer health care. My work Tech la is visionary, truth telling, understanding and to inspire alternative ways to the deadliness of todays structural instruments that rob us of basic necessities - materially, intellectually, ethically, soulfully, spiritually. I am an old crone. Doing what energies allow.

I admire your vision of a union for the general citizenry, Selina, thank you for sharing.

Whoever becomes the next POTUS will inherit this mess. They vie for it with hope and vanity, but the mess will remain an astounding level of mess. It will weigh on everyone's conscience and continue to divide Americans of every type over what role we have had in this. Reality will make waste of everyone's current fantasies.

Joe, your honest and straightforward approach is always refreshing. The final balloon, which read, "and he was turned into a pillar of votes for Jill Stein," was particularly memorable.."
