About the "gangster" Putin. I'd like to point out that life expectancy in Russia which took a plunge after the dissolution of the USSR, resulting in a huge access death rate during the Yeltsin years when "Washington Consensus" economics was imposed by the Harvard Boys. Soon after Putin became head of state, via elections, the trend reversed and has been increasing ever since. By my reconning that means that Vladimir Putin has saved millions of lives. which makes him IMO the type of gangster who should be encouraged.
