I know two things: Antisemitism is an essential ingredient in Israeli victimhood, without which none of their behavior is possible. And, from “Becket”: “Why do they hate us? Because we always hate those whom we have wronged.”
I had a dear friend, Lebanese, Christian, a fierce activist for Palestinian freedom, and a passionate advocate of Arabic culture. Fifty years ago she said to me: “Arabs don’t hate Jews. We hate oppression and injustice. They would be welcome here if they could only learn to be good neighbors.”
