My American nephew and his American Jewish wife have a 5 and a 2 year old. When I expressed sadness and frustration about the bombing and starving of Palestinian 2 and 5 year olds, I was told my anti-semitism is showing. Now we no longer talk about substantial issues, reverting to sports and tv shows. My family is a microcosm of the whole world’s way of dealing with Israeli crimes against humanity.

This report needs to be mandatory reading for any nation that supports these hideous, grotesque and inhumane “policies”.

The world needs to be utterly shocked in order to wake up from its apathy, negligence and misunderstanding of this cruel and horrific massacre.

Instead, so-called civilized governments are actively and openly aiding and abetting this major crime.

Those of us who oppose this killing and destruction are smeared as antisemitic. What the hell will it take to end this deadly evil? WAKE UP WORLD AND UNITE FOR GOOD.

Thank you, once again, for your fearless and honest reporting. I agree with Jane D.'s comments below. Your report should be required reading for anyone who wants to understand the unending horror that is Israel-Palestine. The US complicity in this horror is not at all surprising given its blood-drenched past.

'Heroic"is indeed the word for Palestinian resistance. Israel is a Jewish constructed settler invaders which since Zionism is one of the strongest forces in the world, kill and displace with impunity. And we shake our collective heads sigh and go about our daily business.

There must be an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Pope Francis has said what is needed, now he must do what is needed by going to Gaza and standing for peace, justice and freedom.

Please sign the petition and share widely.

Let us also support UNRWA. If our governments won’t act in accordance with humanity, then we will. https://www.unrwausa.org/donate

Also we can all support the brave doctors who have gone to Gaza: https://palestinian-ama.networkforgood.com/projects/206145-gaza-medical-supplies-oct-2023

Let us make our donations to honor Aaron Bushnell, or in memory of Hind Rajab.

Here’s a petition to excommunicate Joe Biden: https://www.change.org/p/excommunicate-president-joe-biden-bf979783-ac08-4576-a53f-c786ea23dc9c

These are a few small things we can do. If we can do more, let us do more.

Dear Mr. Hegdes, I read despair i your words with a few rays of hope. I pray that the rays of hope grow bigger and the sun of freedom dawns on this land of tragic events, genocide and carnage.

"Settled: How Israel's Extreme Right Has Emerged Victorious" starts with my first reporting on the West Bank, in 1979, when I investigated Gush Emunim, Israel's original settler organization, undercover. I take Israel's plans for land seizure through Yigal Alon's plan to ring Palestinian villages with settlements, through Jewish violence starting 1979 and continuing through the present.

no words for such willful slaughter and oppression... and by a people who, logically, should be the last to engage in such behavior...

That's a myth. Humans are humans and Jews aren't more humane or evil than anyone else. A traumatized people found a group to stand in place of their oppressors, and they're showing the world how they do indeed fight back. It's like when a woman watches her mother get beaten by her father and ends up with a man who does the same, or vice versa. Or men who finally got their fathers to stop beating their mothers by standing up to him as teens. They then grew up to beat their wives. "If you don't heal what hurt you, you'll bleed on people who didn't cut you."
