Like Pope Francis, this priest is an anomaly in an organization that has materially aided the forced birth movement succeed, opposes birth control and dooms millions thereby to misery and early death. Francis is both a trained scientist and grew up in the Latin American church, and knows how rotten it and its core is. Another Francis is unlikely.
Jesus was demoted to an assistant of the pontifex maximus when Christianity became the official Roman religion -- which brought centuries of misery, ignorance, mindless persecution and backwardness to the relatively tolerant "pagan" civilization it replaced with "Christendom.'
It's quite obvious that Christians have, for the most part -- rejected what Jesus taught as too expensive, impractical or not a good career move.
Frankly -- if Jesus reappeared -- these forces would have to get him killed again.
Change will not arrive via the messengers of peace, only with struggle and the overthrow of the system and the elimination of its structures, defenders and leaders. The deaths and tragedies that will result from Dobbs will create a significant portion of the rage and fury required. Those gangs, now engaged in killing each other --need to be organized into armed revolutionary forces.
Possible weapons trickling on from the Ukrainian bazaar can make their way to places like Camden.
The world at large is awaiting the collapse and destruction of American capitalism and its gangrenous "order."
