I saw his show in Detroit a few months ago and we were jumping out of our seats with emotion. You're giving us a wonderful present with this interview. Much respect and love to you both.

"The Quiet American Empire" is the ultimate cause of this Disguised Global Crony Capitalist Racist Propagandist Criminal Ecocidal Child-Killing & War-Starting EMPIRE, controlled by the ‘Ruling-Elite’, UHNWI, <0.003%ers, TCCers, arrogantly self-appointed "Masters of the Universe", and "Evil (not-so) Geniuses" [Kurt Andersen] — which hides Empire behind their totally corrupted dual-party Vichy-facade of faux-democracy

Thank you Chris and thank you Roger.... You've given me fodder for my language class next week, as I've been spiraling around trying to figure out what to focus on that matters to me and to my students.

Brecht knew of the loss of the 'bar'. And you so rightly point to the need for the 'bar'. A public commons.

The neo-enclosure movement better known as privatization owns most of the world now.

From Brecht:

To those born later

“Really, I live in dark times!

The guileless word is foolish. A smooth forehead

Indicates insensitivity. The laughing man

Has not yet received

Only not yet received.

What are these times when

A conversation about trees is almost a crime

Because it includes a silence about so many misdeeds!

He who walks quietly across the street

Is probably no longer accessible to his friends

Who are in need?”

Bertolt Brecht, June 1939

"...When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace"

- Jimi Hendrix

Saw Waters in Vancouver B.C. couple weeks ago. Our tickets were in the very last row when arena employee came and gave us tickets to the floor! Great concert, great man. https://twitter.com/ZimInSeattle/status/1576200744679923712?s=20&t=Us9qdS8i79Muo2ukPsLqdQ

Truly inspired interview and discussion. Like Ali, I believe Roger’s legacy will be more a function of his boundless, courageous humanitarianism.

I've spread his talk for World Beyond War far and wide. But we should have some sort of forum to deal with the public liberal position, to send support for the war, with what the gadflies like Roger Waters are talking about. One problem for "us" is we're gadflies -- we don't have a concerted voice. So why not try to establish one?

Was glad to see "Roger Waters: Why Joe Biden is a War Criminal" article in Ralph Nader's paper only newsletter. Some of the other articles in the newsletter were:

"Parties Not Polarized When It Comes to Corporate Power"; "Presbyterian Church: Israel an Apartheid State"; "Sanders Squanders Opportunity to Move Democrats on Medicare for All".
