Julian Assange deserves asylum and his persecutors deserve the insane asylum.
On the unseemly CIA obsession with Assange:
Really appreciated Mr. Brody's comment below! Mr. Hedges reports read as astutely accurate, along with his war-wearied eyes, ears and words. He reminds me of a 21st century Old Testament prophet...a compelled visionary witness to the encircling escalating spirals of disintegration, despair and death---mostly due to the permanence of military-war cultures and no terminality of it in our lifetimes. The other side of never-ending war are the perpetrators-participants personal signature, the banality of evil, the violent apathy and vicious indifference that feeds the kings and queen's armies, remaking them into totalitarian subjects...and keeping them in rags along with the civilian populations. But never the global elite mercenaries who insatiably dictate the price of war and steal every last drop of already spent blood from the soul of many nations. Julian Assange's Wiki-leaks publications glaringly revealed our age of a deadening military mafia-speak, Homeland Securities code language for its own banalities of evil...or, the dead language of violent nothingness. Nature abhors this non-living vacuum and Mr. Assange's wiki-leaks revealed them to themselves, thus, it remains mortally unforgiveable.
We need information on the protest planned for October 8 in Washington – I'd like to join if I can.
I searched for assange.org and found: "The Domain Name Assange.org May be for sale Make An Offer On Assange.org"
For insights into how pomp and circumstance masks the lawlessness of the British courts, look no further than Chris Hedges' remarks in Common Dreams:
"The fawning adulation of Queen Elizabeth in the United States, which fought a revolution to get rid of the monarchy, and in Great Britain, is in direct proportion to the fear gripping a discredited, incompetent and corrupt global ruling elite....Monarchy obscures the crimes of empire and wraps them in nostalgia. It exalts white supremacy and racial hierarchy. It justifies class rule. It buttresses an economic and social system that callously discards and often consigns to death those considered the lesser breeds, most of whom are people of color.
