We whites owe "Blacks", or people of color, quite a lot: They contributed massively to building up of the U.S. with their unpaid labor making us the richest country in capital per capita and they're now the strongest faction supporting democracy.

We will end up eventually pining a Medal of Honor on every richly deserving PoC, if we survive.

I grew up in Dubois boyhood hometown of Great Barrington, Massachusetts. For most of my lifetime he has been a controversial figure mostly vilified for denouncing his citizenship and self exiling to Ghana with little understanding of the intellectual giant he was. In recent years there has been significant effort to celebrate the remarkable individual he was. His boyhood home sight is now a landmark and a destination for Dubois pilgrims. There are plans to have a seated bronze of Dubois in front of the Mason library in Great Barrington in the near term.
