I love everything Hedges says, even the things I disagree with. As a woman, I can’t see the bible as a great religious text. What is great about the maligning of women as inherently evil or the impetus by god to commit genocide for land?

Who would not trust in posing their own truth, side-by-side reciprocally in dialogue with their perceived adversaries? I want Alice to know that I stand with her. I fell in love with her story writing, when I read The Color Purple. I felt a kinship to her, even though we come from different backgrounds. I got to meet her at her book signing when she protested against the Palestinian oppressions on the Berkeley campus. I was so thrilled when I discovered she was friends with David Icke. She is a rock star! And she's right about David Icke, he is not evil. He was brilliant, brave, and will be missed. I love your braveness Alice Walker. You have my heart.
