The war industry, a state within a state, disembowels the nation, stumbles from one military fiasco to the next, strips us of civil liberties and pushes us towards suicidal wars with Russia and China.
Wow, concise, intense, brilliant synthesis of the War state. The only thing missing was a few lines on the biosecurity paradigm. The war state is also interested in biological weapons. Health "security" is going to merged with national security, or rather a subset of national security.

The world of Us (All) needs to escape the hold of materialism. The low level of humanity’s consciousness mixed with nuclear weapons & Escalating Climate Chaos is a dire state of affairs.
What is Biden, Jeffries & Schumer Really Doing about that dire state of affairs … ?
What did #45 , Obama , Bush 2 , Clinton , Bush 1 (Pappy Bush) , Reagan , Ford , & Nixon Really Do about Our dire state of affairs ─ humanity’s low consciousness mixed with nuclear weapons & Escalating Climate Chaos?
We have been lied to & sold down the road for 60 years by them All.
Why should we now support Biden-Blinken & the rest in the UKR-RUS war strategies & tactics …?
I would be interested to learn how CH would develop his comments in “The Enemy From Within” on American stratocracy, or government by military forces, in relation to Randolph Bourne’s treatment of the state and war. (Bourne is the author of the statement, “War is the health of the state.”)
According to Bourne (“The State,” in “The World of Randolph Bourne,” ed. Lillian Schlissel, Dutton, 1965, pp.243-249), the State, the entity that wages war, does not actually exist except as an illusion. In “times of peace” the “State” is a shadowy emblem,” and we concern ourselves with things that do exist: “the Government,” which is “composed” of “men,” and “the Nation or Country” which “forms the basic idea of society.” “The republican State has almost no trappings to appeal to the common man’s emotions.”
“With the shock of war, however, the State comes into its own.” Then the “Government, with no mandate from the people, without consultation of the people, conducts” the activities by which it “irresistibly slides the country into war.” The “people, through some spiritual alchemy, become convinced they have willed and execute the deed themselves,” and “proceed to allow themselves to be regimented, coerced, deranged in all the environments of their lives, and turned into a solid manufactory of destruction toward whatever other people may have . . . come within the range of the Government’s disapprobation.” “Criticism of the State, objections to war, lukewarm opinions . . . are made subject to ferocious penalties.” “International politics is a ‘power politics’ because it is a relation of States and that is what States infallibly and calamitously are, huge aggregations of human and industrial force that may be hurled against each other in war.” “War is the health of the state.”
Mr. Hedges: "Foreign aid is contingent on buying U.S. weapons. Egypt, which receives some $1.3 billion in foreign military financing, is required to devote it to buying and maintaining U.S. weapons systems. Israel has received $158 billion in bilateral assistance from the U.S. since 1949, almost all of it since 1971 in the form of military aid, with most of it going towards arms purchases from U.S. weapons manufacturers. The American public funds the research, development and building of weapons systems and then buys these same weapons systems on behalf of foreign governments. It is a circular system of corporate welfare."
This is not just corporate welfare but the greatest scam devised on us the tax payers with all the consequences on lost lives and ecology damage. Since a great part of the electorate make their living working for the war industry it seems this problem is going to continue unless they decide to vote for politicians that support constructive industries ( infrastructure etc. ), scientific research and education institutions that eventually will employ them.
I presume most of the $130 billion in “Aid” to Ukraine is funding contracts with Raytheon, Northrup Drummond and Boeing to fill requisitions drawn up by the Pentagon for the hardware shipped off to Ukraine.
The privatised US government working on behalf of their masters at Raytheon etc. always needs an armed conflict somewhere in the world.
The “Aid” to Ukraine is really a loan Ukraine can never repay. Defaulting Ukraine to be robbed of its treasure by Vulture Capitalists like Blackstone which has already been in and out “Window Shopping”.
The Lend-Lease Act was amended to enslave Ukraine.

As the empire contracts, United States wants to control the world outside of Russia and China. Not necessarily defeat Russia itself.
Professor Michael Hudson says the idea of breaking Russia into five or six countries is an absurd distraction
