So much for the clap trap the "war" started Oct 7! Watching the Slow Motion Lawn Mower Blades cutting down the human "blades of grass" in Gaza makes me feel like there is no hope! Gaza turned from an Open Air Prison, to a Concentration camp, to an IDF Game Farm, to a Kill Zone, and now a Genocidal Death Camp! I recently read Watchman on the Walls by Hannah Hurnard, someone who was missionary in Israel at Israel's formation. It was eye-opening to me. The book includes a speech by the British High Commissioner on what needs to happen to achieve peace in the region. It isn't military aid or bombs. Excellent read! Things have not changed one bit from 70+ years ago.
There must be a permanent ceasefire in Gaza in order to comply with the ICJ ruling. Not with Palestinians suffering under oppressive conditions, but as a place where all live with peace and equality. It is time for Pope Francis to do more than talk. He must go to Gaza and make a stand for peace and freedom.
