I was just thinking about the murder of Shireen Abu Akleh, and how her death was camouflaged by Israeli lies and deception. The problem is always that solving killings of this kind depends on solid forensic investigation, and that’s impossible here. To read the New York Times or the Guardian is pointless. I’d love to know how others are solving the problem of reliable information.

Sara, a couple of years ago I discovered Palki Sharma “Vantage” on YouTube. I appreciate her journalism.
Here on substack.
That's always a problem. You can check the source, the reporter (and past articles), but the best I've found (since we can't do the investigation ourselves) is to see what claims make sense within the larger story of all information we do know. If it is contradictory, it may be suspect.
Good advice. But my concern is more in the diminishing number of platforms which will have the strength and the integrity to resist the kind of control that Glenn Greenwald addresses in is podcast today, re: Klobuchar and Rumble.
