U.S. funding of this genocide needs to stop. Twenty-seven Democratic Senators have now voted to terminate sales of certain types of weapons to Israel. I am not a member of either party of the duopoly, but regardless, it is our job as U.S. citizens to write to every senator who voted against the bill to express our opposition and let them know we will not vote for a politician who supports genocide. And we need to mean it. Otherwise we are complicit. The Democrats, including many voters, have played this game for far too long, exemplified by Kamala Harris’ challenge to pro-Palestinian (anti-genocide) protesters to vote for Trump, e.g., taunting us with “our only alternative — genocide or genocide.”Caving in to this political blackmail is to falsely buy in to a powerlessness that does not exist. We in fact have power. What we lack is will. If we let them know early, often and emphatically that we will not vote for genocide and they support it anyway with our tax dollars, then any loss they suffer as a result is on them, not us. If they are so invested in genocide that they will not give up support for it even if it means losing votes, then, again, that is on them and those who continue to vote for them. The recent vote (an increase by eight senators since the last vote to cut off weapons), shows that our resistance is having some effect. Voting does matter. We can vote to enable genocide or not. But we give up way too easily. Most people who vote don’t do anything except vote — typically for one of two bad candidates. We’ve let them take away our power. I’m writing my next letter tonight, to Senator Warner of Virginia. He, along with the other senators who voted against the bill have betrayed the rule of law, their oaths of office and their country, all for a right-wing foreign power that is committing crimes against humanity. We need to call them out, along with the media that enables them.

I have read credible surveys indicating that her unswerving support of Israel cost Harris the election.

I have seen all manner of dismissal of the starvation, it's fake, it's a rare genetic condition endemic to Palestinians (seriously?!?), it's something done to elicit sympathy,.it's not really happening and besides, the people of Gaza deserve it.

Humans are masters of rationalization.

Of course, the Saudis see this and wish they could have had the same success in Yemen.

Thank you for writing this very disturbing report. I admire your tenacity.

So, if you’re right it looks like Israel will go through with the Samson Option after all though not in the manner it intended. Rather than our own obliteration being invoked by Israel’s imminent failure it will be caused by its ‘success’ as there is no way such an evil society can avoid precipitating its own collapse.

Thank you for enlightenng information and thought provoking opinion.

But I do wish you would do the speaking. Your own voice is stronger and easier to understand, reflecting your own sincerity and intensity.
