I'm familiar with WW II history and this is my read of the situation, too. I think this week will be huge. My sources say that the LA situation is part of a broader plan, possibly to declare martial law. God help our country.
What do we DO?!?!?! I’m tired of feeling this horror and knowing there are ppl caught in this system NOW who feel it 10x over. What’s the plan? So far most Americans are blissfully ignorant by choice and come July 4th stock up on cheesy cheap decorations from Walmart and claim they are “patriots” and america is the best nation on earth. I’m digesting as much as my mental health will allow and plan to protest. But this administration, backed by a powerful organization years in the making, carries a big gun.
Sounds like the ICE trainers illegal occupation in Palestine and their administrative detentions: “Once a category of people is targeted, the crimes they are charged with, if they are charged at all, are almost always fabrications.”
Fascism is the wrong word. No one longs for a return to the Roman Empire any more. What we face is National Socialism. It is a nationalism that justifies the extreme measures of totalitarianism. Nationalism is a racism. It is the belief that every race should have a state. It is a socialism because of its claim that the danger to the race justifies radical control of the economy. Trump's appeal is to a suffering working class that longs for a restructured economy. The class of "outlaw" refers to a person who is no longer under the protection of the law. You can kill them without penalty. The outsider is by definition outlaw. The outlaw is a common character in Western literature. Television shows are dedicated to their destruction. Obama was the first President to argue that he could kill anyone, even an American citizen if he considered them an enemy of the state. Other Presidents kept their assassinations secret. Obama popularized bragging about them.
Dear Chris, Please consider the effect your writing has on people. Do you want to terrify us into submission? Please think of what you may write that will inspire us to mass action to stop this nightmare.

I’ve been reading a few books by different authors, and currently reading your book; “I don’t believe in atheists”…terribly interesting, informative.
Truly a terrifying and sombre take on where we're headed. Protesting (on the streets w/fellow activists) is the only thing that helps me regain my balance. It's hard to rise in the mornings though, as we slip into what I will call Zio-Fascism.
